What is PSALM?

PSALM is a Student Organization of the University of Pittsburgh that is based at the Lutheran University Center located at 4515 Forbes Ave., located in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA.

Who can belong to PSALM?

PSALM's membership is open to any undergraduate, or graduate, full-time, or part-time Pitt student as well as anyone else who is interested. There is no membership fee but members should attend at least two functions per term to remain active.

University Alumni and other community members, including students of other colleges, may participate as affiliate members, but may not vote or hold office. Your opinions still count in our eyes though.

What does PSALM do?

Our constitution states that PSALM is committed to fostering a Christian community of acceptance, fellowship, and service in a way that celebrates God's creation, promotes the Word and Sacrament, and witnesses to the death and resurrection of Christ. We fulfill this by participating in many activities such as community service projects, having educational speakers, and just getting together at the LUC.
