Sunday, March 2, Worship with First Lutheran Church, Downtown Pittsburgh. Transportation will be provided to and from the church. A bus will leave immediately after the service and after lunch provided by the church. The bus will leave the LUC promptly at 10:45 for the 11 a.m. service at First. We will be celebrating with this congregation 100 years of Lutheran Campus Ministry in the United States. They are also hoping to show the congregation what a vital campus ministry can look like. Let’s all plan to attend that Sunday and give our support while we give thanks for Lutheran Campus Ministry in Pittsburgh. Please let Pastor Scott know if you will be attending lunch.

Russett Burbank demands your attention!! Russett Burbank is the lobster that lives downstairs in the kitchen. He is a philosophical lobster, has a PhD, and enjoys answering your questions. Any question will do. Whether it be about that perfect ratio of peanut butter to jelly, theology, or the zombie apocalypse, he answers them all. Email him at russettburbank@hotmail.com Who is he really? We don’t know, and we like it that way.

Fair Trade hot drinks and chocolate: Do you enjoy coffeehouses, but wish you could make more of a contribution to society while you sip smooth, steamy beverages? Wish no more. We have fair trade coffee, tea and hot cocoa. For fair trade products, the profit goes to the people who produce the goods, not a giant corporation. We’re asking for a $7 donation for any of the four varieties of coffee, and a $5 donation for any of the teas or the organic hot cocoa. We now have fair trade chocolate bars for a donation of $2. Stop on by any time we’re around and stock up on hot drinks for the winter — you’ll also be helping someone else. Chocolate bars are here: $2for milk or dark chocolate.
