Lutheran World Relief responds to the Earthquake in Haiti. We will be collecting donations for the people of Haiti. You can place your donation in an envelope marked Haiti in the offering plate on Sunday mornings. You can also text LWR to 40579 to donate $10. Remember to reply YES to the confirmation. It will be added to your phone bill.
LUC Tie Dyed T-Shirts $10 each. We have had a t-shirt designed for the LUC. They are tie-dyed and on the back of the shirt it says, “Love Sentinel” in a ‘70’s looking font. They’re groovy, baby! We are Love Sentinels because we watch for and announce God’s love wherever we encounter it.
Open Hours!! We are definitely open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. If you are wandering by at other times and the lights are on, come on in. There’s a TV, computers, wireless internet, a kitchen, and couches to nap on. Feel free to pray in the chapel or practice your piano skills.
LUC on Facebook There are two LUC Facebook groups that you can participate in: LUC's Official Facebook Group and Russett Burbank Fan Club. Join us and network with LUC friends.
Russett Burbank demands your attention!! Russett Burbank is the lobster that hangs around in the kitchen. He is a philosophical lobster, has a PhD, and enjoys answering your questions and walks on the beach. Any question will do. Whether it is about that perfect ratio of peanut butter to jelly, theology, or the zombie apocalypse, he answers them all. Email him at russettburbank@hotmail.com Who is he really? We don’t know, and we like it that way.
Fair Trade hot drinks and chocolate We have fair trade coffee, tea and hot cocoa. For fair trade products, the profit goes to the people who produce the goods, not a giant corporation. We’re asking for a $7 donation for any of the four varieties of coffee, and a $5 donation for any of the teas or the organic hot cocoa. We now have fair trade chocolate bars for a donation of $3.
